Wiring Harness Diagram Needed for ....
Shelby GT500 conversion. Any one have it here? Would really appreciate it
since I am very close to getting started and I already seen what the labor
cost is around here. Plus would much rather do it myself.

well you beat me to it..
my initial plan was to cut the GT500 foglight harness just to get enough wires along with the fog light plugs
and tap those onto existing fog light wires.. i'm sure that's as simple as it gets.
OKLACOP perhaps you could show us how you did yours?

I have the wiring harness that KC provided me with so all I need is to see
how it hooks up. I could see parts of it when I look under my hood and compare the two. But would like to see the diagram to get a better idea before it all the front end comes apart.

i got the wiring harness myself, it seems to plug somewhere around the fusebox, and provide two plugs for the fogs
but considering we both have GTs, i don't think we have use for the full harness, as all we need is a bit more length on the fog light wires, and a different plug

K/C had told me you can't use the Gt500 harness..... all you do is cut and splice the plugs for the fogs.... thats what i did, worked perfect. The rest is useless unfortunately. Just cut back as far as you can before getting to one of the takeoffs in the harness, this way you will have the extra wire and sheath you need to do the splice.... then i just spliced, overlapped the sheaths and used electrical tape over the entire splice. You'll never notice it as Ford has a ton of electrical tape all over their harnesses anyways, blends right in! At first after test fitting the front bumper cover, i thought i was going to be short, but after final install, they fit (the extentions) perfect! Not to much or too little.
I just cut off the plugs and rewired them into my car yesterday just like Shelbywandabe. They work but I rushed to get it done. I am actually going to rip apart the GT500 harness totally tonite or tomorrow and see what the differences are. The box that plugs into the fuse box has only two addition black wires (which I am assuming some sort of return), big fuse/relay box and the one large connector with the red inserts. I don't know what they do but I am going to see how they wire further in the harness. The existing GT wiring harness has also the horn and something else in the harness I think it maybe for the fan on the radiator but not sure there. I'll keep you inform.
(By the way why would anyone want to rip up a perfectly good vehicle?

Which connectors are you guys cutting off the GT500 harness to splice into the stock wiring?
I've been trying to make some a custom harness to run both the stock GT fogs and the fogs in my Roush front fascia. Those connectors might be just what I need.
EDIT:
If I'm thinking about this correctly, you will also be cutting the stock fog light connectors.
If that's the case, those are the connectors I need. Please tell me someone kept them.
Here's a pic of what they would look like. (IF I'm thinking about this the right way)

Sorry to hijack the thread (didn't want to start a whole new thread for something this trivial) but is anyone willing to part with those connectors if you were just going to throw them out anyway?
Either way, at least here's a bump for you, GTRacerX.

I saw these on another thread. I don't imagine I need this for my Shelby GT500 headlights or fogs considering I got the whole wiring hardness from
KC. Maybe this could help you - saw this on another thread. Don't know
if the KSR units could help as well.
Male connector: (plugs into the stock wiring harness) Delphi # 12084167
Female connector: (plugs into the fog light bulb) Delphi # 12059183

LOL.
Thanks man, but that was my thread.
Unfortunately no one sells those exact connectors except in large quantites. (I only need 2 to 4) You're right, the KSR (or SSE) harness extension would work perfect... if they would sell me one.
That last picture (the small connector) is what you will be cutting off of your stock fog light harness (it plugs into the stock fog light)to splice in the Shelby harness, I think. That's the one I need. I was hoping there would be someone who hadn't thrown the connectors away after their conversion.
Of course I could be completely confused about how the harness gets installed. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong so I don't get my hopes up.

FYI...my Ford parts guy has a "wall calender" of Ford connectors, from 2 cavity up to something like 24 cavity, both male and female. All the connectors you are talking about are listed, you just have to match up to the pictures to the connector you need. They have hundreds of pics to loko at. I don't have a way of loading the catalog/calender myself, but will look into it. Check your local Ford parts room. I'll try to get the catalog number tomorrow.
Local Ford dealer was no help, (as usual) but the Lincoln Mercury dealer was able to find them. Even pulled out the pictures you referred to. Now I have just have to make sure they'll work. At $15 a piece it sure would be nice to get a used set though.
Thanks for the help guys. I'll get out of your thread now.
GTRacerX, Good luck with your rear bumper cover. I think it'll be fine once the body guy gets it.

I was under the impression that this is a relatively easy job.
The GT500 wiring harness has two plugs that only fit the GT500 fog lights.
i intend on cutting those plugs off the GT500 harness along with as much wire length as possible, cutting off the stock GT foglight plugs on the old harness, connecting the new plugs to the old wires and putting on a plastic wire loom... done!
seems quite simple to me, unless i've missed something..
let's hope i have no surprises doing it!

GT.... that's exactly what i did.... And as you said, It IS that easy. Sorry, i would post pix but the car is now at the painter getting the roof and rear bumper cover painted and striped. I am expecting the finally finished car Friday!
Sorry, SN.... i threw mine out (stock connectors) and the remainder of the gt500 harness i just gave to the auto salvage place that i sold all my parts from my conversion too. I figured i had no use for it as all i needed were those 2 stupid plugs...... otherwise i would had gladly given you mine, sorry, i have not looked at this thread in awhile.

Thanks anyway everybody.
Shelbywannabe, that's exactly how I thought it would be done so that confirms it for me.
GT, that's OK. I understand. Hey you have enough to deal with being as hot as it is over there. (I've spent a few days in Bahrain.)
Once I assure myself they will work for what I'm doing, I'll PM some of the other guys that have done the GT500 conversion and see if I can get lucky.

Figured I make this a game and I've already provided some of the answers.
This is the Shelby GT500 wiring harness laid out as if you were right in front
of your mustang. So guys / gals feel free to fill in the blanks here.
The pictures are numbered 1-6:
Name where each plug from left to right connects to in each picture.
Good Luck.
