my search skills are not the greatest, but it didn't turn anything up. anyways, my turbo puts off a lot of heat, so i was looking into getting a hood with heat extractors. i was wondering if the oem gt500 hood would fit? my main concern is that the gt/v6 grille won't be high enough.

does anyone know the answer? thanks people.

 

I don't think it will compliment each other very well. Get a Cervini's hood with heat extractors for the GT/V6 bumper, the lines will agree much better. They have this one: Ram Air Type IV Hood with Billet Inserts or they even have one that has the heat extractors similar to the GT500: Heat Extractor Hood

I remember pics being posted in one of the threads about GT500 conversions. This combo (gt500 hood/stock fascia) did not look bad at all. There was a slight gap between hood and grill, nothing too outlandish. There was a mis-alignment of the body lines on the hood where they meet the fascia, but again, very acceptable. Perhaps you could remove your hood and lay the GT500 hood over the engine compart and get a visual.

 

No, it will only work the other way. For the GT500 hood, youll need the GT500 fascia.
