Angry Where to get a passenger side door!?

I am in a bit of a bad situation with my passenger side door and some damage done to it. I don't really want to explain details because I am furious right now but the passenger side door is dented and scraped down to the aluminum all over. Could anyone point me in the right direction towards a new passenger side door. The window is fine. Any possibly pre painted doors? I called Ford and he said $275 for a new door $350 for paint, and 7.5 hours of labor to put it on at a wonderful cost of $1200.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

What he said! Now that the S197 has a few years under its belt you'll likely find a few wrecked cars sitting in your local salvage yard.

Thanks for the help everyone. I do not need to replace the entire door in itself, but just the shell, it is only exterior damage, no structural damage. Does ford sell just the shell of the door, or only the doors together?

Don't get mad ,but claim it on your insurance and pay the deductable. That is unless you find one at a scrap yard.

Our driveway was filled with cars, and I took too tight of a turn to try to squeeze into the garage and rubbed against the stucco wall.

The thing is, its $1200 and we have a $1000 deductable. So I would save $200 and end up getting whipped by higher insurance in the future.

Matt I'm sorry dude. I hate it when I do crap like that. I was backing my truck into the garage last year and tore up the drivers side mirror and literally broke it off. No where near as bad as hurting the cars we love, but I was so mad at myself for doing something so stupid, that if I just would have taken the time to do it like so many other times before, I wouldn't have a busted up mirror now.

I think your only hope is the junkyard or a new door, taken to a paint shop, scavnge every single part out of and off of your existing door, inside panel, switches, etc. and install the new door. I guess thats where I would start, because $1200 is too much maybe $600-$800 if done this way?

A skin will probably cost you more money in the long run and may not look 100% depending on the workmanship of the shop. I would get another door and be done with it. You may even find one in your color in decent shape.

Here's a list of what I found. There's one from a 2007 in Des Moines for $550

He priced you for the door skin @ $275.00. Ford sells the door as a shell(no components) for $575.00 new retail. Does need to be painted.

Coupe and convert are the same if you find one at a salvage yard.

Good luck........

man 575 for a new shell...I might end up getting one too- a month ago the kids were horsing around and slammed my 06 door into the wifes 07- as if two dings werent enough I got so pissed off I slammed the door hard enough to cave it in above the handle...I gotta paint the fang hood anyways, so maybe adding a door at the same time would be a good time to fix it all at one time...

Here is another link at the same place for the shell. The site looks like its from a Ford Dealer in Missouri. Also looks like their givin a wholesale discount.Maybe your local dealer counld sell it for the same. They show your cost @ $413.00. Make sure you price out freight at where ever you find one if its to far to drive to pick up. Most will ship for around $100.00 via truck lines.
