What kind of hood?

I also oredered the CFP '67 Shelby-style hood. And correct me if I'm wrong Steve... but I believe I was the first one to post about Champion Fiberglass Products and that hood. I think it looks great, and you can't beat the price.
As far as the hood itself, the openings are fake, and not functional. My body shop guy hasn't gotten the hood in yet so I'm not sure if he is going to be able to cut the slits in the fiberglass to make it functional. Even if he can't though, I think the hood looks great for the price. Plus, I personally will be having both sets of the 3DCarbon side scoops on my car with "fake" openings painted black. Although I'd much rather them be open, I can live with it.
Oh... they do recommend that you use hood pins on their fiberglass hoods, but I don't think they are required.

Im not asking if its functional, I know its not, but most of those hoods with openings have a mesg grill or something in front of the opening.
Im going to do the SS ducktail and the cervinis quarter scoop and side scoop
Plus will go with hood pins just to finish off the 67 shelby look.

As far as I know, the CFP hood does not come with any grilles for the fake openings. At $350, it's not going to come with much though.
I am also going for a '67 Shelby look. I think it should look great.

With the champion fiberglass hood I wonder if hoodpins are a requirement. I know theyare not on the GEFracing hood, although if the champion hood does not require hood pins then im going to have to think about those 2 hoods now.

Just my opinon but no way would I put a fiberglass hood on the Stang and not use hood pin or twist locks. I ordered the 67 Shelby style hood scoop from CDC last week. Cant wait to see it on mine.

With the way the factory hood starts shaking at 80 mph. I would use hood pin on any aftermarket hood for the 05, 06 Mustang. What kind of guarantee do these companies offer on there hood when they say no hood pins required? I had a friend who had a Cervinis hood fly up on him on his 89 GT and he was told it must have been installed wrong, You may not like hood pins but I would hate for my new car have its windshield busted or worse
