I'll be getting white srtipes put on my Torch Red, but deciding if I want it with or without the pinstripping.

Any opinions on this?

I've got the torch red with the white Shelby stripes now, and I've been trying to dicide if I shold add the pin stripes or leave it the way it is. I like the look of the two stripes but we have a dealer in Knoxville that is putting these on new 06s and I don't want to look like everbody else.

There was an 05 posted here a while back that had dark wide stripes with outline pinstripes in a different color. Think it looked good.

The thinner stripes look incomplete to me. If you don't want to go wide, the pinstripes do add a nice touch.

go for the 10 inch wide stripes, no pin stripes.

OR

go with a single stripe (wide and centered) with pinstripes

I looked through the spreadsheet.

Was it elle106? http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?ac...e=post&id=28268

To my knowledge, as it pertains to Shelby stripes, the Cobra II is the only mustang that came from the factory with pin stripes.

However, lots of others mustangs had pin stripes on the hood. 69 Mach 1, GT, and Boss (pin stripe border around black hood), 70 Boss, 03-04 Mach 1, 71-73 Mach 1/Boss, 72 Sprint, 83-86 GT, etc.

Nice pix AFBLUE, and I thought my interior was original!?!?! OK, now I really have to start saving up for my stripes. What year is that?

I believe so. That car also had the concept GT emblem on it somewhere IIRC.

1972. Brad's site has more about it here.

I agree when it comes to the LeMans stripes. The pinstripes don't belong on a Mustang with that pattern.
