With the generation 2 hoods, can you run vinyl stripes between the smaller extractors and not have to cut the stripes to fit around them?

I don't want to paint stripes on the hood, and leave the rest of the car vinyl.

 

Stripes matching the stock curves will just fit inside the louvers. Using vinyl for the stripes will prove difficult to get right as the stripes are not straight but long curves on the outside edge and different widths front to back.

 

Thanks jcthorne for your reply! Beautiful car, btw! Not that I question someone who's gone through the process before, but I thought in the other thread that you have a 1st generation hood and that you modified the extractors? Maybe it was someone else?

I'm not sure the difference between the first and second generation hoods other than the extractors being smaller.

Do you have any close ups of the rad support and the underside of the hood where you fabbed up the hood pins?

That is one mod that has to be done on these hoods as far as I'm concerned.....
