Washer relocation kit for GTS

Does the GTS hood come with windshield spray relocator or is that something you have to buy extra?
No spray relocator included. I've ordered the ones that attach to the windshield wipers from www.varsityfordparts.com. I'll get the tubing and elbows later.

Painting GTS vents black

I considered painting the exhaust vents black very carefully. I decided against it because the vent sides are not parallel to the edge of the raised edge. On the GT500KR and SS hoods (Venom Hoods), The vent sides are parallel, and painting them black would look fine.

If you do that on the GTS, it will be like having two black trapizoids breaking up the lines of the hood. It would be very slight, but I would see it very clearly. As my hood is painted now, you don't notice the skewed lines of the vents.

Look at the front view, and you will clearly see what I mean

Wow, $2000 for prep and paint. Now I am scared to buy that hood. I love it but that concerns me. I was hoping for no more than $1000. I like the Cervini hood as well but I hate that they don't have the mesh screens on the Type IV hood. I also like the heat extraction vents as well. Ughhh! What to do, What to do???

Well, I did have them finish both sides of my hood. The bottom of the hood looks as good as the surface. I also had the shop finish the vent covers that attach (via 6 phillips screws each) to the bottom of the vents and they act like catch pans (removable/optional install).

The job also included blending both front fenders (removal and color matching), so I didn't actually have only my hood painted. The front fenders had to be blended as well. That means (for my GT/CS - not for GT's) that they had to replace the fender GT/CS stripes too. The front grills were painted flat black - they were bare metal. They don't need to be painted, unless you want them black like I did.

Wow that sounds like a lot of work. Looks like you had a really good shop do it, because from those great pics you'd never know all that was done. It is extremely shiny. I see what you mean about the shape of the vents especially in the head on shot.

Ok, that makes sense then. Thanks you had me worried.

I had my GTS 2 hood done to flawless condition for 700 dollars. You can't even tell that is fiberglass, also had the center bead remove and a bodyline formed. The only issue I have now is hood flutter above 80mph.
I am seriously thinking of selling my hood and spending the big bucks for an aluminum Saleen.
I live in CT, anybody interested, I will give you a killer deal!!!
So, will hood pins cure the flutter, or just prevent the hood from letting go?

I would adjust the stops before putting holes in your hood. The pins will take care of the flutter but I would make adjustments first.

What color is your car?

It helped some. I say it took car of hood flutter by over 50%. I just feel safer driving now.

Adjusted the stops, and put the bumpers in the edge back in..it is much better, especially in the back, but it still lifts or looks like it is straining to lift middle to the front
