Saleen, then GT500 (but need a matching front end). Are fenders and a trunk lid part of the program as well?

The Saleen is my favorite.

Let me know when you setup shop and price for Saleen hood with louvers.

Thanks

On the saleen hood the vent's/grilles whatever don't go clean through the hood? They are only decorative?

Of those hoods I'd do the Cali Dream hood

My favorite hood is similar to the CD. It was made by the now defunct California Dream Car and few found their way to ebay but I haven't seen any lately. It was a repro of the 68 GT350 hood and the only thing that comes close now is the Fang Performance Mystery 8 hood. I've contacted Fang Performance about just the hood but have not recieved a reply yet. It's going to be pricey as they want $1695 for hood and front facia. As a point of reference the CD Car hoods were going for under $500 on E-bay.

I know that he plans on doing a GTR body kit, which the front is pretty much the Shelby and he has replica kits of both Saleen and Roush for previous stangs so I am sure its just a matter of time, he is trying to get several different versions of stuff done as fast as he can because he already has orders for several from retailers.

are you talking about the Dream Car Factory hood? if so I believe what little they had left over when they closed has already sold and is gone off ebay. But hang in there, you never know!

Ill be looking at either an eleanor style or Saleen style. I need the underhood room. Pricing will be the deciding factor as well as shipping $$. Im in no rush but thought Id let ya know.

Its the "Shelby Style" hood listed on Mr. Body kit .com.....$450.00 + 190.00 for shipping. I don't think it's functional though.

Hi rrobello:

Instead of the GT-500 in fiberglass when we can buy one in aluminum for under $600 from the factory would your friend build one of these.

Dream Car Factory has gone out of business and this copy of a '68 GT-350 hood would be a better choice than the "in production" GT-500 hood.

Unfortunately Dream Car Factory went out of business. There was one person selling some left over stock of these hoods on E-Bay but the last sale was several months ago. I'd sure like to see some intrepid hood builder make another version of this style hood.

Dang... another decision for when I have money.

By the way rrobello, what kind of connections do you have that allow you to "try on hoods"?
Yeah +10? Especially all those in one place?

Oops, never mind, saw it on page 2!
