Defintly Eagle F1 GS-D3's when my stockers are worn out, or if I get a chance to sell them while they're off in the winter, Ill get them sooner.
Working for Goodyear my whole life there was no doubt in my mind this tire is the best one out there.

Set of Eagle ultra grip GW3's are on order for winter driving, another top performing tire.

yeah, let me know. Ones I have coming have an ETA of dec 8th None available in the country 235/55r17's) Really stoopid if you ask me not to have snows on hand this time of year.

 

It looks like the Hankook is the bargain tire of the bunch. My 255/50WR-17 Hankooks only cost $100 each (the same price as quoted in the article). They are sticky to the road, and a great size for the stock 17"x8" rim (27.0" diameter). In addition, the extra 1/2" of "rubber buffer" will protect your rim from the errant curbstone.

 

The only bad thing about the Eagles from what I have heard is the tread doesn't last half as long as the KDW2's.

I'm not sure why they reviewed the T/A KD's instead of the KDW2's which are more inline to compete with those listed, ie the F1's

 

Yeah its hard to say why they picked that tire. From what ive seen in selling the kdws is they dont last all that long either. I guess its all how you drive.

 

I am leaning towards BFGoodrich g-Force KDW's too now. They are one of the only tires out there that come in both 255/45/18 and 285/40/18. The ultimate tore wheel combo IMO is 18x9's on the front with 255/44's and 18x10's on the rear with 285/40's. I bet the car would ride on rails with that combo. If you have the money to replace your tires twice as often, since you can't rotate front to rear, this is the way to go. The BFG's are a really good tire too, and not all that expensive either.
