Well, after having the car for a week I finally decided to take it in for some tint. I went with 5% on all windows...I just love the way it looks.

Car looks great dude. Taking mine in this afternoon. I'll see how dark I can go before having problems. Was figuring on 20%, but i'll see what they recommend. Don't want to have to worry about that purple look down the line.

The purple look is only from poor quality tint. Make sure you're getting it from a good shop. I paid $190 for mine at a place that is used to dealing with exotic cars. They were working on a Lamborghini right next to mine, but I think I classed it up a little B)

Thanks for the tip...I forgot to check on that. If it's not there, is this something that the dealership would put on? How much?

This "felt" issue does not affect all cars. Roll down your window. Near the mirror you should be able to fit your finger inbetween the 2 pieces of material that sit on both sides of the window. Both should have a "felt" like feel to them. If the outside one does and the inside one doesn't ask for about it. Some cars had a harder rubber lining on the door panel. It is not the rubber that is scratching the tint. Dirt gets caught in there and that is what scratches the tint. My seals are very smooth, felt like material. Never had problems with the drivers door, but the passenger door has some terrible scratches in it. I took the door panel off and found a few small pieces of dirt (sand like grit) stuck in the material.
That is what caused the problem on mine.

is 5% legal in your area? Most places it is illegal to have on the doors. If you ever get pulled over make sure you have those rolled down for your own safety.![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I had 5% on my truck for 2 years also and never had any issues with the cops.
