Is there any chance of this 18" wheel option?

Would Ford ever offer the option of 18" version of the Hallibrand style wheels that they use on the V6 for the current GT? That would set the car of perfectly IMHO.

I agree.... I'd be all over it, but unfortunately, you're on your own with those.... the only 18s are going to be the "blades" that were on the show cars.... available in January

I have no problem with the blades. Will they be chrome, satin finish, or choice?

not sure on that one. I like them a helluva lot better than the split mags offered as the optional 17, though. I'm still gonna take the bullits and buy some FR500 wheels.

as far as the blades, I'm assuming just a satin or plished finish... I don't recal that I've ever seen chrome wheels stock on a Mustang.

Are they gonna make a new version with the correct offset for the 05? I really like those too.

I'm not sure now much the wheels from Ford Racing are but there another place that sells 'em.... 18x8 and 18x9. The have 3 different color options and the go from $179 to $220 a pop. Not bad at all considering I had to pay $225 for my Cobra R wheels for my '98 and that was finding them dirt cheap. Luckily for me, the grey ones are only $170.

Mustang Racing

Click on "shop wheels" on the bottom left and then click on "FR500"

by the way Tommy... you'll find your Halibrand types there too.... perhaps less expensive than other alternatives. I know for real Halibrand magnesium wheels, you'll be payin about $1200 a wheel for bolt ons and over $2000 a wheel for knock offs (full on racing wheels)

Uhm, no? The only official information on 18s is that there won't be any in the 05 MY. There is a possibility of them adding the capability of 18s to the line when they shut down for christmas, but with information saying otherwise, I doubt this will be the case.

Clint, if you do get the FR 500 wheels, PLEASE!!! post some pics, they're about the best looking option I've seen to date. The gray ones in 18's with the Windveil Blue...i gotta feeling that would be off the hook...

Hmmm...let me know who your distributor for this stuff is. The chromes go for 350 on the web...I could pay shipping and still come out on top.

Again, how do you correct for the different offset in the 05?

uhhh...i think the answer is right in front of you. Clint posted the link to Mustang Racing right in his post. Menu on the left-hand side takes you right to the wheel options...
