Swapped wheels with another '07 owner - tire pressure light?

So another 07 owner and I met up and swapped my bullitts for his fanblades. Now when i start up the car, I get a little warning light that I assume is for the tire pressure monitoring system. It goes away after the car is on for a minute. The wheels are unaltered from stock and have about 1000 miles on them.

Upon further review, I guess his car was an 06 leftover. Doh!

My car is an '07 and does this almost every time I start it. After a few seconds it goes away.

If you put wheels from an 06 on your 07, the TPS light will come on and should continue to stay on since the 06 won't have the TPS sensors in the wheels. Your car should be looking for a signal from the sensors, and if it doesn't find a signal, the light should stay on.

That is why it doesn't stay on. If you have IUP the info display would constantly show it.

The computer doesn't do anything crazy if it doesn't detect the sensors, does it?

Can I use the xcal2 to make it forget about the pressure monitors altogether?

No it doesn't. I don't think anything can be done about the warning on startup, regardless of the tuner. You *could* take the wheels into your dealer and have him install the TPMS sensors and bands, remount and balance the tires...but that could get a bit spendy.
