Does anyone know what adding a sunroof to a GT would do to the resale value? Bad or good?

From a dealer's point of view :nono: :nono: :nono:

If I have not made myself clear enough - NO< NO < NO

I think it all depends on if the person wanting to buy it, wants the sunroof or not. I have a sunroof in my GT and I love it.

Checked your pics. That looks good. Would be curious for a better interior shot to show the fit & finish of the work.

It's your car to enjoy... do whatever will make you enjoy it more. Unless it's installed poorly and causes a leak, I see no way that it'd hurt your car's value down the road.

I don't understand why people care about resale values. When I buy a car I'm thinking about the car's power, handling and styling, not how much I'll be able to get for it after I tire of the way it looks.

It cost me $850 installed. My local Ford dealer took care of the install, but they outsourced it to Classicsofttrim.com which is a nationwide install company. Took 2 days from the time I dropped it off. Very professional job. It's fully electric and can either popup or slide back.

Agree with the others that you should do what makes you happy. I keep my cars for 150 - 200,000 miles usually and in the case of my 05 - probably alot longer. Having worked for a company that use to install them - just make sure they know what they are doing. I have personally seen some horror stories!

I agree wih that as long as you aren't already looking for the 2008 models to come out so you can "upgrade". I plan on keeping this car for a long time. After I pay it off (mid 2010) I'll may look into another vehicle, but I won't be trading mine in. So I'm going to make her mine, because she won't be anybody elses anytime soon if ever.

Does that retract inside the roof or over the top of the car? Just curious.

Well that's different... does it help keep the hood from shaking at high speeds?
