Hey Guys I did some searching and looked through the gallery but have yet to see a 05 vert with racing stripes. Just wondered what you guys thought of that. Would that be a or a :notnice:

 

I remember years ago knowing a guy who had a '69 Camaro ragtop with stripes. The car was red with a black top and stripes. Looked awesome!

I suspect the key thing here is to match the stripe color with the top. I guess that's obvious, but otherwise it would look strange.

FYI, Graphics Express is coming out with stripe kit for the '05 convertibles. Here's the link: http://www.graphic-express.com/ford_k115-s6.htm.

I honestly do not know who originally created this chop, but I found it on this board a long time ago. I thought it was absolutely devastatingly beautiful, and this was ultimately one of the main motivations for me to stripe my Sonic Blue hardtop. (It's not done yet, but it will be soon.) Whomever made this pic, thanks!

 

it will only look good with the top down. but with the top up (unless you put ehm on the converable top) there will be a break in the stripes, which would not be cool.

 

Ok in that case what do you guys think of having white stripes on my car? Torch red w/ black top and red interior..

I personally feel that it wouldn't look bad to have the top up with these stripes but that's just me.

 

It would look great. The vert with stripes really gives it that '66 GT 350 vert "look"
In fact I think one of those 4 Shelby's was red with white atripes.

 

yea man on a red car its either white or black :P i dont think it would look good with any other color. IMO

 

I am not a huge fan of the white stripes on the red mustangs. However, I think that the black stripes look better. Also, are you going with two stripes or one? In the gallery there is a picture of a red mustang with one black stripe down the hood and I think it looks a lot better than the two stripes, but again, thats just my opinion. Not sure white stripes with black convertible top would look good, I would have to see it on a car to know whether or not I liked it.

All i can say is that you spent good money for this car. DON'T LET ANYONE INFLUENCE YOU ON WHAT COLOR STRIPES TO GET.
If you like white.. go with it!!

I agree that its your choice in the end and "to each his own." I just wish I was in your position to be wondering about what color stripes to get, I am still discussing Red on Red vert over a yellow vert with my wife.
