I love the look of racing stripes on the new mustangs. I have a convertible and I can't find a color that looks right on it. I was thinking 10" matte black stripes on my black vert with black top, or should I just leave it alone. Any suggestions?

black matt stripes on a black car? Not sure I would like the looks of that. Sounds like you want a ghost effect cause that wouldn't stand out too much but not sure I'd like it. Dark Charcoal would look good.

Depends on the look you are going for.

Loud = red to match the interior
Not-so-loud = light silver
Subtle = tungston/gunmetal/dark gray (my choice)

P.S. Nice car. Have you thought about a drop with those big Foose wheels?

I was thinking about ghost stripes but I would rather not have them painted on. I'm not looking to stand out I just want something subtle. BTW the Eibach Pro-Kit is next on the list as soon as I find a reputable shop around me.

You could also get what is known as "shadow" vinyl. That would be as close to ghost stripes you can get by using vinyl.

If that were my car, I think I'd be going with red to round out the black/red theme started by the interior. Also I like the stripes on a 'stang to look bold (blue on white, etc)

I have a Torch Red 'vert, and am debating the same thing. My general preference is white stripes on the red, but I'm not sure how that would play with the black top.

^ I wouldn't worry about white stipes with a black top, it should look fine as the top is so visually different anyway. If you want the white stripes go for it.

Well, I'd hate to ruin a perfect track record like that...fortunately I like it too

That looks simply fantastic. I HAVE to get mine striped.

Personally I would leave it as is. But it's your car not mine. Everytime I see a pic of your car

Thanks everyone. I think I will leave it like it is for the time being and spend the money on some springs and CAI w/ tuner. It's time for some performance mods anyways.
