stripes going around hood scoop
here's a shot of mine just for reference. I have a black/red combo, too. I redid my hood stripes and removed the hood scoop stripes in the process. I kinda like it. The scoop now matches the car from a side view. Comes down to personal preference, I guess. It looks good either way IMO.
I like it the way it is....I'm not a fan of the scoop being "on top"...make it look even more fake that it already is...I've never heared a Shelby GT350 owner complain about it......its probably just the fact that the read stands out soo much from the black...it catches your attention.
+2 Good decision on keeping the stripes. The hood scoop blends in better. And its very rare that anyone sees the car from the side angle anyways. Its usually just the back they always see.
On a side note your car is wanting me to change my white stripes to red. Well done

stripes going under hood scoop
I currently have my stripes going over my hood scoop, and Im not a huge fan of the way it looks from the side becuase it is a different color than the rest of the car.

so i did a search and couldnt find too many results, does anyone have pics of the their car with stripes going AROUND the scoops, basically no stripes on the scoop. also, what would it take to remove the vinyl from the scoop. thanx.

My stripes go under the scoop because they were there first, but had I done them the same day, still would just because they lay easier that way.
Either way looks good though.
If you ever decided to trim & remove them from the scoop, be careful with the blade if they are the same pieces as on the scoop.
