Stripes On A Convertible?

What are your guys thoughts about striping on a convertible? just wondering, it'd be on a Satin Silver with a black drop top...thanks

they would look better on a hard top but i could be wrong since i never seen the 05 vert with stripes

well the stipes would be on everything but the roof......it would look funny with the top up but if u live in a good weather area like florida i dont see anything wrong with it since the top would be down all the time

Put 'em on there, the only time it won't look right is when the top is up, but no one buys a vert for how it looks with the top up anyway, unless it is a hardtop. So I say stripe away, will look awesome with the top down, which is the whole point.

Color match them to your top (black/tan/etc) and they should look just fine.

my thoughts exactly----match the top, although the top will fade but my top will be down as much as possible---

Try to find pics of a '66 Shelby GT350 vert (VERY rare) and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I think it would look great to add stripes to a convertible. But everyone seems to be adding the dual stripes, running up and over the car. Perhaps a different approach would resolve the no-stripes-on-the-roof issue. Why not get stripes that run up the hood, then down over the fenders? graphic-express.com is bound to have some interesting alternatives to the dual stripe theme.

Look 'em up. Maybe they will have some worthwhile ideas...
