I saw the spreadsheet that afblue put together, very cool, thanks for doing it! Now I would like to get input from those of you who have already striped your car. I have found a number of places on the web to buy the stripes but dont know who really has a good product. Can I get anyones input on who to purchase them from. Also, Tony (Sixtysix) I think I read that you installed your own stripes, how hard was it? Any info would be appreciated. Anyone else here attemped to install stripes themselves, what problems did you have? I dont want to attemp to do it myself and end up doing this :bang:

Thanks,
Tony

I can't remember where my link is right now but somewhere I posted detailed install instructions on the stripes I installed on my car. If you buy a kit that is precut for the car, they are not that difficult to install if you have any skill when it comes to using water, some liquid detergent, a spray bottle and a plastic squeegee. The thing to remember is, if you goof up you will need to order another kit. If a shop goofs up, it is at their expense, not yours.

The hardest part of the installation is the bumpers due to the curves. Again, this depends on the type of kit you get. If the vinyl is cut in a way that it counts for the curves in the body, then you should have no problem. I made my stripes before any kits were available. Mine are straight cut from a stock roll so I had to install them dry and seam the bumpers.

I know other members have installed the kits from various vendors off of the internet so hopefully they will put their comments in here.

I used the GRAPHIC EXPRESS KIT on my 99 GT. Fit was great, very easy. Just take your time. A hair dryer helped on the Facia's and Wing.

Haven't yet decided on the 05 yet. Back on my 99, not to many were doing it. Now alsomost evry other one out there has them. Got to do something a tad different this time.

I got mine from Baltimorestreetmods.com and did them myself. The only difficult parts were the bumpers, you just have to be patient and let each section dry before you start an overlapping section. I took my time and did it over a weekend. I am very happy with how they turned out. Good Luck.
