Does anyone know how to remove the rear emblem to install the stripes?

Did you do a search? There have been a couple threads that talked about this. I have to get off the computer now, or else I'd go through it with you or do a search. If you do a good search though, you'll find it.

If you are applying vinyl stripes, don't remove the badge. Have the shop cut the circle out before hand to make it easier. I never removed the badge on mine.

Adrenalin,
Do they have to cut the hole small and stretch the vinyl over it so it doesn't have space around the emblem? Seems like I saw that on another post.

I think adrenalin is just saying to have them cut around it... the vinyl will just go right up to the faux gas gap all the way around. I actually took mine off because I replaced it with the V6 faux gas cap that had the pony on it. I would have probably taken it off anyway because I am a perfectionist. But I also took out the middle break light and vinyl'ed up inside of it too. And I vinyl'ed inside the rear license plate area when most people just cut around it. It's up to you. If you have them cut around the gas gap, it'll look just fine. I mean, it's vinyl. It doesn't have to look perfect. You might be able to see the line of the vinyl going around the cap if you look hard enough, but who is gonna?

Edit: What I am trying to say is don't take the faux gas cap off if you don't need to. It's a pain to take off and put back on.

Ian, did you use seperate pieces for the rear license plate area or did you do a LOT of heating and stretching to get it down in there?

What I did was precut the hole on the plotter, that way it just fit perfectly. I didn't need to use a knife around this area. Now, if you don't have that as an option you just use the plastic squeegee and work around the badge and trim it with a knife. Enough vinyl tucks underneath it so you can't really tell. You can tell who did installs and was afraid of this area because the vinyl has a 1/4 " gap around the badge because they used 1/4" vinyl to mark the area and then cut of the excess material.

As for the license plate area in the back, I used a solid piece on each side and then used the xacto blade to trim of the excess material/

John, glad to hear you put vinyl there too. I basically did the same thing as you... used a couple pieces to fill in the license plate area. After that area was blacked out, I put on my stripes, cut around the opening and wrapped everything down into the opening about 3/4" all the way around to overlap what I had just done. I used a blowdryer and stetched/shrunk a little bit. If you look real close you can see lines where the vinyl pieces were overlapped, but it looks better then just cutting around the opening, IMO.
