Stock 18" Offset & bolt pat?
Just a note here. When I had my 05 V-6, when I changed out the stock 16" wheels, I had to also add a steering stop. Believe the same would hold true if your going from 17 to 18 also. My 07 came with the 18" Fan Blades, so I'm going thru that again. (Just check it out first before you upsize)
Is the backspacing really important? or does it have to be right on?
As copied from Ford Racing Performance Parts Website....
- M-1007-U1885P*
- Optional wheel on 2006 Mustang GT
- Fits all 2005-07 Mustangs
- Polished aluminum finish
- 5-lug 4.5" bolt circle
- 6.295" backspacing
- 18" x 8.5" wide
The Back Spacing goes hand in hand with the Offset.
Offset in MM = Backspacing Minus wheel Centerline x 25.4 (to convert to MM)
6.295 - 4.25 x 25.4 = 51.9 mm according to my calculations.

According to the Calculations the stock 18s are 2.045" offset, so with a 1" offset you would theoretically have to decrease your backspacing in turn by 1" to 5.295" which if you are staying with 8.5" wheels would give you a deeper front lip. Just the best I can figure from the numbers provided by FRPP and the linked wheel info page I found.
So compared to the stock 18" rims, the aftermarket 18X9 25mm rims I want to buy are they going to look funny because of the offset difference???? I really don't want the rims sticking way out or do I want them tucked in
