Smoked License Plate Cover: legal?
Smoked License Plate Cover: legal?
Fortunately I live in a state(Pennsylvania) that only requires the tag on the rear of the vehicle. I truly feel sorry for those of you who have to put that state billboard on the front of your Stang. Nonetheless, PA tags are the ugliest around and they keep getting worse. Does anyone know the legality of smoked license plate covers? I'm trying to blend them in with the car a little bit. Thanks
I had one on a previous car for several years in Alabama and after some idiot ran into the back of me, the cop that wrote up the report told me in Al they are against the law and if I did not take it off right then she was going to write me a ticket.
They are illegal in my state and I have several tickets to prove it, nothing can block an officers view of the tag,
In another state, I drove through a storm which caused the car to get muddy and dirty...got stopped because the cop said he could not see my tag, I argued it was an act of God.....he made me clean off the tag and then let me go.
