Will go to Autozone tomorrow. Thanks for the tip on the gasket Torch_Vert. BTW I orderded a pair of 3157AS Silverstars for the parking lights. They claim to be clear when off, but burn amber. I'm hoping they'll be a little brighter than stock. Got them from www.autobarn.com. $9.95 a pair.

So auto zone should have both fog and headlight silverstars now? The fogs are 9004 or 9008?

The autozone near me says they have a H13ST and the H13XV both 19.99 which one is better?

Edit: Well I found a picture of the light they cast the ST and XV seem to have the same brightness but the XV definetly has a yellow light while the ST is a really white light.

Correct. The XV are 15-20% brighter standard bulbs i.e. yellowish). They've been available all along.

The Silverstars have a much whiter light.

Autozone has an online order page.

I was lucky, Waltham only had two in stock (so they're cleaned out now...).

Now my car doesn't look like it has 10 watt headlights compared to the Silverstars in the foglights

One installation note: The Silverstars come with a light gray silicone gasket installed on the plastic base. Our headlight housings have an orange gasket built in to them. You need to remove the gasket from the Silverstars (pops right off), otherwise they won't lock into position correctly.
Good tip - I'll check that out! I purchsed two sets of both the H13ST's and the 9145ST's (had to go to three Autozone's to find them all) but changed them in my F-150 last night and FINALLY white light!! The F-150 did not need for the gasket to be changed but I'll keep it in mind for when my GT/CS arrives.

Well I just ran down to the autozone, called first said they had 2 ($19.99 apc). When I got there searched all over all they could find was one! So he ordered one should be there around 4:30 today. I bought the one they had its already installed. Id like to get the SilverStar fogs ($19.99apc) and turn signals ($19.99pair) but I cant justify spending 100 dollars on lights right now.

NOLAGT asked about the fog light bulb model number. They are 9145's and are available in Silverstars.

The turn signal Silverstars suck. They turn your clear turn signal housing a weird ricey blue color. If you are running clear marker lamps you should probably consent to get ripped off by the Stealth folks (haven't done that yet, but I guess I grudgingly will some day).

Firefighter, if you are still running amber turn signal housings then you really have no need of the bulbs - they aren't any brighter than stock and will do nothing for you inside the amber housing. Save your $$$.

Just my $0.02! I've already burned MY money on the Silverstar fogs and turn signal bulbs, just trying to save you guys from learning the same lesson *I* did... (picture money being flushed down the toilet).

P.S. See my foglight Silverstar pix and writeup in the GT/CS section. I wasn't impressed then and I'm still not impressed now.

The reason I've been anxious for the H13 Silverstars is the Silverstars in the fogs made such a HUGE difference in the color and brightness that the stock headlights looked awful in comparison. I can see where they're not going to stack up to a $900 Saleen HID upgrade, but I still think they're very worthwhile for those of us not so blessed.

My Silverstars made a great difference. I've had the 9145St's in my fogs for almost a year and now have the H13St's to match. They are much better than the stock bulbs as well as the Luminics crap that I had in the headlights.

I too just replaced all four bulbs in the GT. The light is much "whiter" and for $80 I think even a slight improvement in vision is worth it.

That is why I was recommending NOT to get the Silverstar turn signal bulbs. I have them, they do not have the "fried egg" look in my "mostly" clear turn signal lenses, but they are somewhat blue in color. The overall effect is weird and I don't care for it.

I'm advising to get the Stealth bulbs instead. I'll have to do the same (and pay their premium $$$) one of these days. SIGH...

I got the H13 Silverstars this morning. Amazing, they even got them out here in the middle of nowhere.

What's the deal with the flat washer on the Silverstars? Does it actually seal, or will I have to transplant the o-ring from the OEM bulbs?
