Thumbs up

I need to know from those of you who have side stripes is are they tapered? If you measure from the body line crease to the bottom of the rocker panel there is a difference in measurement from the front to the back. Do your stripes stay the same from front to back or is the back tapered larger? Hope I am making sense here.

What is the measurement of your stripes thickness wise? Are they the same from front to the back?

Thanks Scott.

My stripes are uniform from front to back - I never even thought of tapering them. It might look good, although I don't think I've ever seen the side stripes tapered so its hard to tell.

My side stripes measure: center 2", gap 1/4", pinstripe 1/4"

Scott,

I didn't have any good ones so I took a quick shot in the driveway. It's been raining here and the car is dirty, but you can get a pretty good look at the spacing and placement of the stripes. I also added a link to a new picture that I took that gives a good overall view of the stripes.

You can see all of the pictures I have in higher resolution than I have posted on the forum here:

Just click on the picture and choose "Original" from the size option to get the high res image.

I think you night be getting them mixed up with the stripes on top of the car. The stripes on the original Shelby in '65 were tapered, but only on the top.

Here's a diagram of the side stripes.

side stripes are not tapered. They do not vary in width from the front to the back of the car.
