We are still on track - just been busy around here so i haven't been posting a ton of updates. Current schedule still puts us end of November for sampling / run-off of these pieces. I'll try and get some pictures of the new prototype posted in a couple days here, time permitting.

Price will be 59.00 for the pair, that we have already got established given the material / mold costs, so we definitely hit our target of "well under" 100.00 that I wanted to make sure we made.

I'm in. Let's know when we can start placing the orders.

BTW-How's the window switch plate project coming along? Any idea of what the price range will be for a set? Release date?

Chrome? No chrome, especially at 59.00 for the pair - real chrome work costs us a small fortune nowadays... plus we had no intention of it because it then "stands out" too much on the front of the car, not what we're going for with this piece.

Also, it's not upper / lower, it's left/right inserts for the existing lower grill, which then helps to protect the radiator and A/C components from impact damage.

HTH.

As we get closer, we may open up the order banks for it - but because of the volume of stuff we do now, it's getting harder than it used to be to keep track of it all when we do something like that. (A/C ***** are a perfect example, they have been almost done for a couple months, but they aren't on the website yet because all the stars are not quite aligned - next week though they should be )

Switch panels - due to training on the new machine here and stuff, the switch plates (a mill job) have been on hold while our main CNC guy gets his head wrapped around the live-turn lathe operation / programming (he just needs time in front of it to make parts) - so the new oil cap replacement, mirror **** replacement, and a/c **** replacements got bumped ahead of the switch plate, just so his training could be put to practical use. I still am hopeful that we will have at least 4-5 new products by the holidays this year, if all goes well.

Also, Leo, I still owe you a custom rear medallion if you are still interested... we were out of so many for so long I couldn't accomodate you, but we've got our stocks on them finally back up to where I can pull the components to make you a complete part, adhesive is now included even. If you're interested I've still got the PM from you on the style you wanted

Can we see some pics of the a/c and mirror *****? NP Marcello as I think I'm going to stay with the stock rear medallion for now. If I didn't have the pony emblem on my ducktail I'd definiatly go for a setup like Brads. I just can't believe I don't have a single SHR product. Well once the new items come out I'm sure I'll have a couple.

We're working on it - notice in the above post I said "replacements" and not caps

There are places for covers, I just luckily haven't found too many of those places... and now that we've got the sources for the clips / springs all sorted out, we can go forward with some of the other stuff too.

07-08 A/C ***** will be ready next week, and we've already ordered the special tools that will be included in the kit to do the install so you won't have to buy anything extra. 05-06 are machined, just waiting to send them off for finishing until after the 07-08 sets come back (don't want them getting mixed up at finishing and then have to re-sort).

Maybe I should hold off on my next order until my pictures show up on the website (btw, don't forget to let me know when the fuel door stuff comes in)

I want a medallion like Brad's, but I really don't know that I have the patience to install it since I already have the honeycomb insert installed.

Marcello - you going to MOSI this year again?

If so any chance for a mockup of these grill inserts?

Availability (almost as usual it seems) will be early Winter 2007 (Nov-Dec. timeframe) and cost is TBA for the pair, although we are working to keep this product very affordable. It will fit the GT only, but is designed for a "snap-in" installation that will not only make the front end look more "finished" but also help protect the radiator and coolers from large FOD damage. It will be made from the same ASA UV-protected resin we use to make our honeycomb rear panel, and is contoured and shaped to fit in and look OEM.

I have tested the prototype to 100+ mph already, and other than some small appearance modifications to make it look perfect and blend in seamlessly, production is already approved. It does not hamper airflow, and actually helps to straighten the air prior to it hitting the radiator.

As to fit and finish... this is proudly the first product we've developed as part of the Ford Technology Transfer program, and as such, all of the dimensions for our part's exterior edges were taken directly from Ford's software models of that area of the car.
Any hope for a set with foglights installed.

MOSI - I wanted to, but it coincides with SEMA for timing, and since I'm going out there this year (and probably for the foreseeable future) unless the timing gets better for us I won't be able to make it over there. I will be at the Tampa Machine Tool Show Nov 14-17th, and we'll have the whole rig there, just won't have any parts for sale, unless I know we need to bring something.

Otherwise though, yes you could see the inserts, they are on my car now.

As to foglights - no... not directly from us anyway. The part was not designed to support the shock load / weight of a fog light, and even if it were, it is not supported to the car in a way that it would hold a light well. You could always mount a set to the car, then cut out the appropriate opening in our piece, but I think you'd be choking off airflow to the front of the car a bit more than you want.

On the custom rear medallion, feel free to PM me directly, or just shoot me an email from our website. I can fill you in on the details / timeframe on getting what you're looking for done.
