Ok

#1, no making fun of the dirty car!

Few backside pics, you can see the clips holes I was speaking of, and how far the inlet protrudes to the backside. Those washers are bigger than supplied, due to me having to extend some of the holes for good fit.

From the front, you can see how closely I can get it all put together with the SHR grille... for some reason the light is really showing through over the top of the grill in the pic, it is extremely close in person so disregard that.

You opened a discussion you don't want, I debated for a long time.. heres different setups in the link, although all except the factory pieces would require some cutting.

Thank you for the pictures, I appreciate it! Those cuts might not be too bad, a friend of mine has a little shop so maybe he can help me..I just don't want to screw anything up. It might also be a bit easier because the bumper isn't on my car yet, so I could do it before I put it on..also thanks for the link!

I would say quite a bit easier from the back side with bumper not installed.

Matt

I have the exact setup you are about to do. I also have those lower side pieces that I won't need anymore.

I will post up later when I get home.

Another question I probably should have asked before buying the bumper, but I can put it on re using the clips from my v6 bumper...right...?

I think the foam piece that attaches to the actual metal bumper and helps to keep the bumper cover formed is different. Did you get that piece?

I don't know it for fact, but mine was labeled "GT" so I figured it might be different for a V6?

Anyone know this?

No I didn't get that piece....the bumper won't be ready until tomorrow or Friday, and then I'm going to have to wait until my upper grille comes in before I put it on..should I order it from the Ford dealer? I know Ford brands some parts GT or V6 but in reality they are the EXACT same..

I don't even know that you need it for sure.

I've never seen the bumper cover off of a V6 to be able to see the difference.

Well that does look nice, but I already ordered the ford bullet grille, and SHR lower grille, maybe on the cars next "refresh" (new bumpers, lights, etc) but that wont be for a few years, and then it's going all out, custom complete paint job, engine swap, interior swap, all new bumpers, suspension, rails, anything that has rusted, hood...it will be expensive, but I love this car, and even if it cost 15-20k, that's fine with me, because I will be bringing new life into this car, just as if I had bought a new one. That's just my thoughts..

Well it's the only place it will fit. Atleast the upper grille install will be easy..I'm pretty sure it just snaps on there.
