SHR GT/CS lower grille cover?

Recently bought a used GT/CS front bumper and I'm unsure what lower grille I need..it doesn't have the side honeycomb things, so will the SHR one cover those or what do I need? Thanks guys..

Our insert will not cover the side pod areas if they are missing - those you will have to source locally through your Ford dealer or from one of the dealers we do business with like Wittmeier Ford (Partscheap) or Gary Yeoman's Ford in Daytona. Our piece then works in conjunction with them to have a matching honeycomb lower section.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, it does help. I've never checked out partscheap, so I'll have to take a look at them.

OR, get Agent47 brake scoops. Might not be easy to see, but there is an SHR grille in there

149.00 for the pair - making them functional (ducting, backing plates for the rotors, etc..) is separate.

Shoto - I like the last photo of it sitting in the lot. Makes the front end look very aggressive.

Well if I didn't want to make them functional yet, how hard would they be to install myself?

Pop right in if I recall, just like the lower center part.

Dang well I will definitely order it, along with the center piece tonight...if only SHR had complete upper grilles...I can't find any on there. The OEM replacements would cost about $120 a pair, so I guess I get to upgrade without losing much money.

I know on the GT they are a snap-in affair, but I couldn't remember so I checked one of the kits on the shelf - the main hole is already there, then there are additional screws on each side to insure a sturdy mount, since the OE clips (on the GT anyway) give too easily.

HTH.

Ouch - didn't know they were that proud of those little pieces...

So I would need to drill into the fascia correct? But other than that it should be simple..? I'm not very mechanically inclined or good with tools so these are things I have to take into consideration.. And it seems Ford are very proud of ALL there OEM parts...$150 per GT rocker panel is just outrageous.

Yep, just small holes for the screws - a template is included.

Sorry guys no, you cut a big hole for the center of the duct, plus the screws. Not overly hard, but either hte template was off or I messed up, I had to do some adjusting to get it. More time consuming than difficult.

As you can see in my pics (see through them) I have not made them functional yet, just installed last week.

Thanks for the compliment, need to get some better quality pics with them, that was just quick snapshot at beginning of mustang club cruise.

You have to cut the hole, even if you don't want it functional? What did you cut the hole with? I'm 17 and moved out so I don't have access to a bunch of tools...

I'll get you a backside pic sometime today.. it passes through the fascia with extra material so you can attach teh brake duct hosing. I used a combo of drill, sawzall and dremel with sanding drum... realistically could have been done with hand drill, hack saw (the straight kind, not with the over top loop) and sandpaper/file just take longer.

The SHR piece did make me need a tiny bit extra adjustment I think, BUT I also think that was better as it tightened the scoop to the outside of the opening.

To be honest, even a good sharp razor will cut cleanly through the urethane. I've only had GT's here where we have done installs, and on them the hole already is there.

First pic is without anything, this guy was installing the Shelby GT version (so disregard the paper template) but notice where I drew red lines, these are slots for the factory pieces to clip in

This is the Agent 47 template to cut

Well I can get a drill but I'm not sure if I would be comfortable cutting it with a razor (shaky hands) so maybe I should get it shop installed...are there any other alternatives besides the brake ducts? I've seen some people with lights down there..?
