If you want to see if you would like them black I would recommend you use plastidip. It's like spray paint, but its plastic and if you don't like it you can peel it right of clean and simple.

I owned a mustang that had one of the worse factory scoops ever. I hated it so much I bought another hood. But I sold traded the car in before ever installing the new hood.
