Ah, do not be affraid grasshopper. Get out your vice-grips, and yank that sucker off. Keep an eye for where it lands, though. Then a little round filing, and your back in business.

Come-on, be adventurous You - can - do - it !!

um dude i am guessing you have not figured it out yet but sirius recieves the satellite signals through the little black brick they call an antenna but for you to hear the music the sirius reciever sends signals to your cars radio antenna so it can come out your speakers, unless you have sirius from the factory or a PIE connector you have to tune into the sirius signal on the the cars radio and not use the AUX button

I did mine a while back and while I noticed signal fade a little bit (mainly due to the signal meter in diagnostic mode of the Shaker 500). Overall I don't see much of an issue except for one station that's independently run.

Sounds like a great weekend project. It sure would be easier to take the car cover off with a shorter antenna. Best of all it don't cost nothing to do it.

Exactly. Plus the look is just right. Oh, and we have the Sirius too. Absolutely no problem with reception.

Well, couldn't wait for the weekend. Project completed! Took me 20 mins with a Dremel tool and a little touch up paint. If I knew it was that easy I would have done this right away. Thanks for the tips!!!

Any other FREE mods???

well after i get my intake and tuner i will see if i can find someone with a dremel if not i will just get the bolt cutters and some sand paper, i am thinking 10in or 8in since i use Sirius or CDs and never really listen to the radio (i wish you could tune these radios, sucks when you go to a drive-in or at the track where they have you tune into their own station)
