i know there was a thread a while back of someone asking this same question, i know the LED taillights use the same harness as the factory lights do but i do not know if they can handle the sequencing

Just email Larry at webelectric. He will tell you straight up whether you can use his seqs or not. From what I know of electronics, LEDs use alot less power than bulbs, which would cause problems in the sequencing. Good luck !

It should work as the electronics that control the on / off rate of the sequentials are not sensitive to load like an old style mechanical flasher is. Best to check with the manufacturer of the sequentials but I'm confident it will work.

We tried it here at Ninosport and they don't work the way you probably want them to work. If you look at your stock tail lamps at night with the hazard lights on you'll notice that only 2 of the 3 bulbs on each tail lamp actually blink. The inner-most bulb just stays on, but only half as bright as the blinkers. Unfortunately, the guys who designed the LED tail lamps we used made them to where the inner LED segment behaves the same way as the stock. So when you combine the LED lamps and the sequencers, only the 2 outer LED segments blink instead of all 3. I was very disappointed because I really like the LED lamps - but I like the sequencers more so I kept the sequencers.

I agree, the LEDs are nice but I am one who also wanted the retro effect of the 3 way blinkers.

What about the Sylvania LED rear assemblies? They're not just LED bulbs but instead replace the entire lamp assembly.

Even if they do work I don't think they would look as nice as the split second lighting/shutting off of the standard bulbs softens up the sequential look making it quite superfluous rather then DASH DASH DASH. The LED's with sequentials may give the person behind you a siezure.

LED's on an '07?

Sorry to hijack your thread, but will LED taillights and the third brake light work on an '07 Mustang?

By the way, a member on these forums, 555 (whose car is SWEET), has sequential LED's.

what i found out so far is either need to replace the flashing module with one made with the low power draw of LED's in mind or add load to the current blinker

Webelectric told me you have to add "loads" to the sequentials. Meaning, the LEDs draw very low current, so your car will think there's a bulb burnt, and the lights will flash twice as fast. If you add loads in the system, it draws more current, tricks to the system, and your LEDs will work just fine with sequentials. I will like this as well...

I thought I would like it the sequencers with LED's... but I don't. I agree with Kevin120. The incandescent bulbs show nice flow rather than the DASH DASH DASH of LEDs.

Yeah.. I have the "chase" (not exactly sequential) lights with stock bulbs and I really think the relatively "slow" flash of the incandescents that die out over about 0.2 seconds, instead of instantly, looks better.
