Saleen Aluminum Hood YIKES!

So I inquired about a Saleen aluminum hood for my GT.

Cost = $1600!!!!

OUCH!

Anyway thought I would pass this along.

Anyone know of anyplace to get the aluminum one other than Saleen... with hopefully a better price?

Saleen parts seem to be very expensive, or is it just me?

Yeah that Foose hood looks pretty cool... what I really wanted was the heat extractor benefit of the Saleen hood. Plus it looks cool

Yeah Dan I would say in this case absolutely. $1600 is pretty darn steep for an unfinished hood. I think Saleen has a good deal on their supercharger... even though it's more expensive than others I think the design is worth it... but I agree they do seem to be higher than most.

well, you could always buy the foose hood with the cut-out for the shaker hood and just leave it like that. i am sure that would extract ALOT of heat! LOL.... ok, bad joke.

edit: besides the saleen and the foose... i think your only other option is the gt-500 hood (is this one aluminum?). could be wrong.... but i dont remember coming across any others.
