Replacing rocker covers...

Hey all, I bought some GO rocker panels for my V6...my question is this...are the clips reusable or am I going to have to buy all new clips? And is there a special tool I will need to remove the clips? Anyone else done this conversion? It looks pretty straight forward...I'll be selling my black ones so if anyone is interested let me know...

Pics of the new or old? I haven't gotten the new ones in yet, and the old ones look just like any other V6 rockers...

Its pretty straight forward just take your time and you can reuse the clips. When we did my v6 back in '05 we reused everything and it worked out well. Just take your time

So Grabber07, what will you do with the V6 rockers? From the shrubs and Christmas decorations in your photo I'm guessing you're somewhere in the Southeast.

The black rockers will most likely be for sale. And I'm in Arkansas...

Wow, thanks for the tips...I'm also at a decision point. Lose the stripes or leave them. What did you end up doing? I may have missed it...

I ended up removing them. They sat too high with the GT rockers on there so I went with the clean look.

One more question and I swear I'll leave you alone, lol. How did you take the stripes off? Did it leave any residue? How easy was it?

Easy as pie. Let it sit out in the sun for awhile and they peeled right off. No real residue, just washed it afterwards and it looked like they where never there.
If it's not warm where you are or don't want to wait just use a hair dryer to warm it up and peel it off.

Stripes

Get them off asap, just peels off, when they're new. I did the same, they just interrupt the looks of the Mustang.
