I have to decided to replace my Xenon Hood Scoop with a Roush scoop. How do you safely remove it? It's only on there with the 2-sided tape.

thanks

I've heard a hair drier and fishing line works.

Heat the area where the tape is with a hair dryer. Slowly lift up on the front of the scoop (make sure you are not buckling the hood). Use fishing line as if it were dental floss. Just pull it back and forth across the tape to cut it. Another thing you can try before using the fishing line is to pour hot water around the scoop to help loosen the adhesive.
Was adhesive promoter used when the scoop was installed?
