Removing the Side Stripe..

Should i take off the side stripes and if so,How would i go along to take it off? Would you think there would be any paint fade? I just want a cleaner look.. heres some pics..

Easiest way too take them off is with a heat gun or hair dryer set on high heat. If any adhesive is left just use goo gone or similar to remove it.

definitely lose that stripe. being that your car is 6 years old, i would assume there is a chance for some fade. although even if there was some, i would imagine it would give a sort of "ghost stripe" effect.

in any case, my opinion is that it would be better than that oem stripe you have on it now.

Get yourself a 3M Wheel eraser. Check on You Tube for videos of how they work. hey are safe and fast. Yes the paint may be slightly faded around stripe but being so low on car, a couple of polishes, you should not notice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To5qmCqY6S0

Actually you will probably have very little color fade if any on a black car. What you will see is a difference in the glossy finish, as there will be far less micro scratches where the stripes protected the paint.
