Removing front fascia

I need some advice. My new SC is due in tomorrow, and I was getting a head start on braking down the car. Following all the instructions in the Saleen manual, I removed all the screws and nuts. It says at this point that I should use the palm of my hand near the end of the fascia and push down until it releases. I pushed, not incredibly hard, but did use some pressure, yet nothing released. Has anyone removed their front fascia that can give me some advice?? I don't want to push too hard and end up damaging something.

Not sure it makes a difference, but the car is a California Special.

Thanks,
Al

As long as you are certain that all of the necessary bolts are removed you may have to give it a little more "oomph" to remove it. As I remember, it was a down and pull type of movement. I had to use a bit of force (subjective, I know) to get my front facia off...just be certain that all of the hardware is loosened.
I used this write up to get mine done....worked like a charm

Thanks Mark. I went over the instructions again last night after I posted. Seems all hardware was removed properly, the only thing I can figure is that it's hung up on the two studs behind the fender wall. That's the only place it seems to be stuck. I'll give it another shot this afternoon after work.

Like a champ!

Turns out I was doing it right all along, just negleted to pull it away from the car once it cleared the two studs studs at the top.

Break down is tedious but going well...

I wish I had more than a couple hours after work to work on it, but with the storms coming tonight didn't want to get all wet!

If I can get any time in tomorrow after work I should have the breakdown complete, which means installation begins friday!!!
