Recommendations Please! 18x9/18x10 Chrome Bullits
I need [lol] a set of chrome bullits for my 06 Black GT- the set offered by Mustang Tuning looks totally perfect, but I don't think they offer tire bundles (?) like Tirerack... and of course Tirerack does not offer the good bullits!! arg
Is there a place that offers a [kool] deep dish chrome bullit set with mounted tires?
This would be sooo much easier for me so I don't have to go around town trying to find or have have tires mounted
AND I also need advice on what size tire to order- I want bigger than oem to begin to fill the wheel well (is that factory gap huge or what? a small child could hide in there!) but I don't want to risk them rubbing if I lower the stang later.. (either eibach or roush or whatever, I don't know yet) usually I would lower first and then figure tire size, but I can't do that this time.
comments and suggestions appreciated
(by the way, the title was supposed to read "like Mustang Tuning, but where can I get tires too?" but it wouldn't fit :bang: ... no, I'm not from suburban CA!! lol)

Unless your going to wait a long time to lower the car, like until your new tires need to be replaced anyway. I would stick with stock diameter, this will prevent having to recalibrate for the size difference. Even lowering the car an inch (steeda) makes a huge difference in the gap. Try searching for bullit wheels and see what other sites show up. Takes a bit more time but I found my wheels and saved atleast 500 bucks this way, and got them overnighted at no extra charge (AZ to CA).
I suppose I could lower it first... I need to look into prices for suspension kits. Eibach pro-system maybe.
I want an online parts source, the two "authorized dealers" in my area are slightly shady. I trust my dealers service dept much more to do the install- my service adviser is a friend and the mechanic who works on my cars there is a really good guy.
If not, I just need to pick the right tire sizes and order them from Discount Tires Direct I guess..

I wracked my head for the longest time on this - in the end, to get those classic bullitts you want that won't cost you loads of $$, you will probably have to get the wheels and tires seperately and then mounted/balanced locally.
That's what I had to do - was a pain (considering the ease of tire rack and Discount when you can order wheel/tire packages) but I was REALY happy when I was done. In an exhustive search, I could not find a place that offered the Verde bullitts in a wheel/tire package......

I just changed my strategy for the moment... I ordered the Roush
lowering springs thru my dealer (they are authorized Roush- but probably most Ford dealers are I dunno) got all 4 springs for $297, same as online price.
I'll get it lowered first and then figure out how much actual room I have for tires- I usually go slightly bigger than oem and use one of those tire size calculators to make sure I'm not overdoing it.
The Nitto 555s look likely, from discounttiresdirect. I guess I can cram all that into the stang!
Those Mustang Tuning deep dish bullets are just 'it'.
The only alternative I found was a site that had Boyd Coddington 'smoothies' which are also 1st rate beautiful but around $350 or so each (I forget exactly), and that site did offer tire bundles I think-but it's more than I'd rather spend when MT has exactly what I want!I talked to a Tirerack sponser on the MINI Cooper forum and he said they only carry oem SVT for the Mustang, and would not let me ship him rims for fitting. The only other suggestion I got was to ship rims to a local tire outlet, but there's no one around that I trust.
Anyway, the good news is it's getting lowered!!
-BTW- does anyone know how I get off the "V6 Member" on my avatar and become a GT guy?? lol Do I need to send $$$?

If you do decide to get the tires mounted and balanced locally- buy the tires from them or they'll charge you a lot more.
Keep posting to get rid of the "V6 Member" title

There is one shop about 30 minutes away in Norfolk where everybody takes their tires to be mounted, I'll probably go there. I don't really have a choice I guess?
I tried to get specific tires for my Cooper S locally awhile back, and it was a big PITA.. they never had exactly what I wanted and charged too much for what they had. Tirerack to the rescue on that one, I got ASA JS1 rims and tires for only slightly more than the tire shop wanted for tires alone. its an internet era these days =)

Dude I didn;t even know where you were until you mentioned that local tire place - I lived in Va for four years while going to Virginia Wesleyan College!
I miss the strip down at the beach.......
Very blurry pictures taken last night after running home to wash the car quickly - just had the tires mounted and everything put on during my lunch hour yesterday.
18x 9 -255/45/18 Nitto
18X10 - 295/45/18 Nitto
There is still room to lower the car if that's something you want to do, right now I'm focusing on other things before I lower it.

I know I need better pictures and I'll be getting those as soon as I leave work today (early)

Ileana, AWESOME RIDE!
What wheel place did you go with? Mustang Tuning? I was waiting for someone to put on chrome deep dishes. I was concerned about how the chrome deep dishes looked in the front. I've been going back and forth between waiting for a manufacturer to make a regular lip for the front and a deep in the back OR going for what you did. I must say they look GREAT! Nice ride!
