Can anyone post a picture of the rear license plate mounting area? I am wondering if Ford has drilled 2 or 4 holes for the plate and are they threaded sockets? :scratch:

 

4 holes for mine...sorry no pics.

 

There are 4 alignment dimples. The dealer prep is to use self tapping screws right into bumper cover. There is nothing else holding the plate. I drilled mine myself and only used the top 2 holes. I also put nuts on the backside of the bumper cover with stainless steel screws.
