Two questions. I've never had ramps because my '96 was lowered and there was no way I had enough clearance to make it up the short ramps available. I suppose you could make a set, but they would have to be long with a shallower angle. Have you guys been able to use standard ramps on non-lowered '05-'07's?

Once I get under there I have to paint some rusty surfaces in the rear suspension. The rear axle tubes are bare metal and are rusted (not a lot). There are a few other things down there (I don't even know what they are) that comprise the lower spring and shock mounts, and sway bar mount, that are also rusted. Second question, has anybody used Rustoleum or other paints down there to cover up the bare metal?

 

2 x 12's, or, 2 x 10's, cut 6" and 12". stack-um in front up to the ramps, and drive on up. (I'm only 1 1/2 dropped)

 

Like he says , you need to pull up on something. However some of us have had problems with the ramps sliding when you try to pull onto them. Below is a pic of what I did , the weight of the car holds the plywood in place and it holds the ramps in place so they don't slide ...

 

So those look like stock ramps from Sears or Autozone with the plywood base to keep them from slipping, right?

I feel a little better that you were able to get your car up on the ramps even with the CDC spoiler. I can't tell whether your GT is lowered. My front is still stock and I'm not lowered, so it should have no problems.

 

Yes the weight of the car on the plywood and the 2x4 at the back keeps them from slipping ... They're the Rhino Ramps from Autozone ... It has Steeda Springs which lower it about 1" ...

 

I'm looking to buy these. A little pricing, but I think they will be worth it.
