Quik-Latch Hood pins Installed
Just finished this project up this weekend. Really love 'em. Secure as a bank vault and no loose pins to lose or lanyards to mess up the paint:

Popsicle sticks?? Those aren't popsicle sticks, they're thermally insulating frozen confection cores...
Actually, the popsicle sticks were cheap and easy spacers to protect the plastic headlight bracket from any heat generated in the radiator support while the welding was being done

The pins are straight vertical, what I did (you can see it in the pin pic above) is to grind a small flat on the shaft just below the pin and then repolish the pin to get just the hair of additional clearance needed by the latch mechanism for the slope.

Very astute question! You'd probably be fine on a standard Mustang hood. On the Super Snake hood there's a bit more slope in that area.
