Question For Anyone Running a GT500 Hood on their GT!

Hi all, i am looking into putting a stock gt500 hood on my 05 gt, but was wondering if it would fit right, and if it did, would it look ok. Does anyone run this hood on thier gt? If so, do you guys have any pics of your cars with the hood on it? I could get a really really good deal on one so that why i was thinking about it!

StangPower05,

I'm not 100% certain and hopefully someone else will chime in that knows for sure, but I think you need the GT500 front fascia as well, for it to fit correctly. Anyone else know for sure?????

I believe that this is correct. You need the whole front end to make it fit

All correct. Without the GT500 fascia, the hood hits the area on either side of the grille.

It also pretty much looks like swill even if that weren't an issue as the grille won't line up properly with the rise on the front edge of the GT500 hood.

There are a number of companies (Cervinis is one) That make GT500 style hoods that will fit the standard fascia

Absolutely correct. Need front fascia to run the GT500 hood.

+1 on Cervinis or other after-market companies. There are a ton of good looking hoods out there which don't require you to change the front fascia..
