A couple of questions about GT500 facia conversion

I've decided, for now at least, to keep my stock hood when I do the conversion. I've seen photos of the GT500 conversion on cars with the stock hoods on.

Is this a direct fit, no mod install with regard to the stock hood?
If not, what mod(s) are needed to the facia and/or hood for this to work and look right?

I may decide later on to switch out the hood, possibly for the stock 07 GT500 hood, but I'm still debating on that.
Thanks for any advice.
Mark

Stock type hoods will fit with the GT500 front fascia. No mods (other than properly installing the fascia, new headlight buckets, etc) required.

It doesn't work the other way 'round though. A hood specifically made for the GT500 nose will rub on the top part of a stock GT or V6 fascia.

Thank you for your reply Paul.

I probably should have worded my second question a little differently. I meant to say that I was considering the change to the stock 07 GT500 hood after I did the install of the GT500 facia. I was figuring IF the GT500 facia needed to be modded to fit the stock GT hood, would it create a problem if I decided to change it later on.
Thanks again, because your first answer also answered the second question too.

I have done this on 2 07 stangs and all I have had to do was move the hood latch up about 1/8+ of an inch on both cars so there was no rubbing of the hood on the radiator cover.

My 05 no mods to the hood latch at all.

Yep, I knew the first part totally covered your question. I just threw in the rest for anyone that wasn't aware the reverse combo is a no-go (and looks pretty awful anyway)

Thanks for your help everyone I really appreciate it.

Jesse, I have a strange feeling that I'm going to be referring to your write up quite a bit once I get this project underway.
