Wow! Your car looks great!

I think Ford should go doe smaller fogs for the GT! They look better then stock!

I would put the fogs closer together ifg it were me. Glad you guys are happy.
That would be tricky. For one thing, the horn is in the way if you tried to put the lights closer. Space is VERY tight behind that grille. Also, the part of the grille where we put the lights is solid behind the honeycombs, so you can cut out holes and mount the lights. Any closer to the center, the solid backing is gone, and it's just an open "screen" of hexagonal holes, which wouldn't provide much support.
I'm sure some aftermarket companies will jump in sooner or later, and make custom grilles with lights in different locations.

Falchion: thanks. Maybe Ford should offer smaller fogs as an option on the V6.

Looks great, Rik. I agree, putting them in any other spot on the grille would be very difficult. Plus, after photoshopping them into different spots, I found that the location we used at the edge of the grille looks the best anyway.

I got around to doing this last night (well, I mostly got in the way) with the help of Mark and his brother Ed, two other members of the boards here. I think it looks awesome, and already have people complimenting me on it Awesome mod for the buck.

Mark here...Was glad to help you get it done. I was going to take pictures along the way so people could see how this was done. It is really very easy, but takes guts to pull apart a new car and start cutting on it. I see some discussion on how the lights are wired and the remote switch is a good one. We did not do Richards car that way. The simple way is to make the wires go to the drivers side. Pull them to the bottom and hook the directly to the parking light wires. This way they are protected by the fuse. This was my brothers idea and how he did his car. It works well. If you really want them to have their own switch, then I think the remote is the best way to go. I told Richard the things to get and he picked up a 4 min 2 part epoxy made by JB WELD. This stuff was great. It filled any gaps that may have been made in getting the lights to fit and is black to match the grill. Once installed you can look directly at them and they look factory.
By the way.....nice car Richard....the black, with tinted windows, fog lights and flowmaster true dual is a COOL combination. Keep up the good work. Mark

If you got a GT bumper cover the V6 grill would not fit so to make it look right you would need thr GT grill also.I just installed the fog light mod on my daughters V6.

I have a V6 grill that I just put fog lights in that I will sell if anyone is interested. You can pm me you are interested and I can fill in the details.I haven't got a picture of this grill yet but it is a V6 grill with the Wal Mart lights that I have used on several other grills. The grill came out of my daughters car not out of a wrecked car.

This whole idea is awesome, and I am really interested in doing it. The problem is that I have never worked with cars (or my dad) and I am afraid of taking the car apart!

DOnt worry its very easy to do. If you use the Blazer C120's use a 4 3/4" hole saw. It worked great for me. Be patient, don't rush it. Its an easy mod that makes a HUGE difference. !!

Good Luck !!

I tried to start a new topic for my slightly off question but the forum wouldn't let me so you'll get it here:
My Mustang (V6) had it's front end munched (not my fault I swear) and is presently being rebuilt at the body shop. I asked the shop if they could put on the GT grill with the openings for fog lights instead of the standard V6 grill. Since it was the same price they said sure but I'm not sure if I've opened a big fat can o' worms. I've been trying to figure it out from the posts, if I put the GT grill on will the holes be in a bad place and not have the space behind them to accomidate the lamps? I have yet to actually look at the inside of the grill since mine's still in pieces and will be for the better part of 6 weeks.
