A public appeal to aftermarket parts manufacturers

So, for 3 years now, many of us S197 owners have repeatedly asked Classic Design Concepts to release the headlight assemblies that they use on all of their show cars. CDC always promises they're looking into, or there will be news about the product shortly. Yet, 3 years and still nothing. So please, somebody make these! And fellow enthusiasts, show your interest in the product by voting and/or replying.

I would be happy with a Black Billet grill that keeps the stock fog lights and pony. But yeah i like the painted heads also.

HID option would be awesome. But as long as someone makes the assemblies, HID or not, I'll be happy. Actually, I'd like HID to be an option if it's available. If they're only available in HID, they'll be too expensive for a lot of people.

The problem with the CDC buckets is the gap that's left behind once you remove the "glass". I've seen that car in person and it looks terrible. The gap really stands out and makes the product look sloppy. That's probably why they haven't made them.

All they need to do is modify them. Instead of using the stock piece, make their own, based off the stock piece, but with modifications so it fits properly. If you look at the picture I posted, this doesn't look like the other ones I've seen. This appears to fit much better.

I'm not asking someone to modify the stock ones. I'm looking for a company to manufacture replacements that give that appearance.

I could have swore I had a pic of that gap from the MCA 30th show but can't find it. You'd figure CDC with their infinite knowledge of Mustangs and close ties with Ford they could make new buckets that would take care of the gap

Yes, you did. I remember you taking it once we started talking about how bad it looked. I'll look around for it and post it if I find it.

Of course! I just heard from them. They said they're still working on them. So it's not a dead dream, at least. But no ETA. They said if you're really interested in them, call them and let them know. But I talk on the phone all day at work. Last thing I want to do is talk on the phone at home.
