I don't see a price on their site, so what’s the cost? Has anyone thought of painting this area instead of the using overlays?

They are $64.95 shipped. Mine are in route.
Screaming Yellow pix to follow upon their arrival!!!!

WOOO HOOOOOOOOO

These are the first batches. You had to e-mail them your interest and get on the list.
Then they e-mailed you based on what they produced.

You pay em and they ship em.
Im guessing the link to order will appear rather quickly.

If you aren't going to paint the entire mirror, forget it, get the inserts. Theyre smooth and cost much less then taking off mirrors and painting them for an inferior look anyway. Gets rid of the little 'ridge' line around the edge too(as if Ford thought to do it and chickened out).

I bet Ford did plan for stang mirror covers and dropped the idea too. My mother-in-law's '05 T-Bird has them from the factory and they look nice. Still waiting on mine for the Tungsten!

just about every car from Ford has them except the mustang

Oh, I advise cutting off about a 1" pice of the outter strip of adhesive(as per the picture-its too long to go over the corner anyway) and putting the little square of tape on the end of the mirror

Kevin, your so right with this tip. I did it, and it really helped the outer curved edge stay put. Good post

I dont think I would waste the money for black.....
You might see it due to the texture and gloss difference
but .....

Not at all. They fit well with putting the tape where the directions tell you to. But just like putting a ducktail spoiler on a car, more tape, better hold. Since the one piece of tape won'tfit on the outside part of the mirror, (too long) and you have to cut it to fit, just place the excess on the outside curved edge. Never hurts to be safe, you know. Its not so much for security, but I was tinkering with it and if you only do it on the front surface, the end can 'tap' a little bit and give you a little buzz rattle to bass or engine vibrations. The inside edge is shorter and firmer then the outside edge, so I wouldn't bother adding to the inside. The piece of tape can be pretty tiny and still be effective.

I agree the red ones just POP off that car. Not that the others don't look good.

His does look awesome. Hopefully mine will have the same pop since I have a yellow/black paint scheme going on, kinda like his. Maybe they'll arrive today!

Ordered last Wednesday by phone - they came today. With the black hood, was the look I wanted. Quality was good, the paint match was perfect both in the shade and sun

I think the Performance White cars will get the best bang from this, should completely transform the car with the touch of white on the mirrors. The red ones looked great on my pony, especially with the matte black rockers to double the effect.

Yeah Kevin, I've got the satin black rockers on my car and the inserts definitely work great with the look I have.
