I'm undecided about putting louvers or scoops on. sometimes I think it looks good and sometimes I think the quarter windows look good. Certain angles do both justice in different ways. So everyone please post pics of louvers or scoops as many angles as possible. And everyone who doesn't have them could you tell my why you prefer no louvers/scoops..thanks!

I'll be honest with you...I wouldn't add louvers if I had your car. The color, rims, and tint are so perfectly matched and balanced, that you don't need to cover the windows IMO. If you do decide to go with louvers, I recommend getting the SS louvers. They give the car such an exotic, different look that stands out from other louvers.

it's an ongoing dilema..it's either louvers or engine start button mod which is cheaper... I think I like the cdc/mrt louvers the best. I got the ss gen2 louvers but they didnt' fit right..exposed edges of the window too much in some areas...so i sent them back..maybe my windows from the factory are somehow a cm bigger? so i probably won't go with ss. it won't be till end of january so i still have time to decide on what mod will be next.

MRT louvers, which by the way, are made by CDC

For my personal taste, I can't stand the louvers. I've always loved the '66 Shelby and that's where the quarter window comes from. I decided not to buy a vert just so I would have those windows!

I had a 65 fastback for 16 years and they looked fine on it because they were real and therefore recessed into the body. (but if I would've prefered the Shelby windows) These fake ones stick out from the body too much since they have to be stuck on the outside instead of replacing the window.

No one has made a set IMO that looks good on the new Stang, but if I HAD to choose, I would go with CDC because they come the closest to resembling the 65/66 vents everyone is [/i]trying[/i] to copy. The Roush louvers are just plain hideous and some of the others are too rounded and look like large bubbles.

A scoop wouldn't be a bad idea since they are suposed to stick out anyway, but then you're leaning more towards the 67/68 bodystyle and that's not what that area of the car was designed to look like so it kind of throws off the look.

Roush Louvers....

Those look sweet.

For some reason I think the roush louvers look better on cars with bigger wheels

Anyways, hopefully I'll get mine for Christmas.

i think you're right - the louvers are wider spaced and cover more of the quarter area -- they look more retro too -
