Yes, we did go a bit off topic. I'm surprised you didn't like the images from the XTi. Were you using the lens that came with it? Those things suck. My Sigma made a world of difference.

The 40D is a great camera, but it's priced (and targeted) for professionals, not your average Joe. The XSi looks very good on paper for normal consumers. I have yet to try it out.

Hey Red, it looks like your shaker rubs on the trim ring in the same spot mine does. Just above the CDC Shaker emblem. Mine rubs there and along 2 spots on the back. Annoys the heck out of me. You would think they would have designed a product that didn't cause damage to itself

 

Your car looks very clean and purposeful. I like that you didn't black out the hood and/or stripe your car [nothing against either look by the way...you just see them a lot].

 

They are gunmetal with the brushed lip

Adrenalin- Yeah it is, bad. But theres nothing I can do. I tried the felt, doesn't help. Get so hot it doesn't even stay. Your right, for what you pay for a bunch of plastic and one cast scoop. They shouldn't be any clearance issues. You are good, it was a canon.

 

It was an original (6.3MP) Canon Digital Rebel, shot in full auto exposure mode with the "stock" 18-55 lens. Not that I would know what he borrowed or anything

In any case, the car looks great, can't wait to see it at Mustang Week next month...

You're right about that. I love my Canon 30D. I bought it from my brother after he got the 40D. Now THATS a camera. The Nikon D300 is amazing though. Boy, the stuff you can do with that thing is nuts. Did you know that Nikons use Sony image processors? I still don't think I would ever buy a Sony camera. They just aren't build like they used to be. I just picked up a Panasonic FS20 for my fiance' and it is the best **** point and shoot I've ever used.

Back the the DSLR's...you just can't beat the depth of field and clairity of them. So many people go out and get the highest megapixels they can find, but they just don't realize that the sensor is even more important (ever seen a 12MP camera with a tiny sensor? it ain't pretty), and the image processor is even MORE important. That's why Canon (Digic proc) and Nikon just can't be beat.

Great pics though! That engine bay is imaculate. Makes me wanna go out and clean mine right now!

great now I dont know if I want the Redlines in gun metal or Silver. Wish I saw a pic of those rims in Silver

 

My opinion is anthracite. I don't think they would look so good in silver. But like I said, thats just me

 

yeah thats what Im thinking too.. alough by next year I may just get the redlines chrome (Black Chrome) so either finish is ok I guess.

 

I saw them in Chrome, honestly, I wasn't that impressed. I love chrome also. They just didn't look great. IMO

 

Does anyone have the Redlines in Silver???
