Picked Up New XXR 527 18 Wheels - Tire Setup Help
Ignore my other thread, I tried to find some 19s of the XXR 527s but no luck so I found an awesome deal for real dirt cheap, they are 5x114.3 with a 18x9.75 all around, 9.75 is very uncommon well for me it is, I have been looking for mustang with a tire setup for these but can only find 18x9.5 and 10, I came across these -

I really like how much sidewall it has and I do not want to go too wide nor too narrow, I have been trying to study the the width into inches and have found that you can do 245 but some say itll be stretched if on a 18x9 Wheel, I want a low profile sidewall but more then 3 inches, something thatll look nice and sit in the wheel well nicely without being to much

What's the offset on the XXR's?
On a 2005-2014 Mustang using 18x9.5-18x10 wheels you can usually run a 275/40/18 or 285/40/18 all around, those sizes won't be stretched or bulged, they'll both be nice and square-shouldered.
I've run 275/40/18 all around on 18x9.5's with 45mm offset.
I currently run 18x10's all around with 45mm offset (4-5mm spacer in front), front 285/40/18 tires, rear 305/40/18's

I would not buy those wheels, unless you're into the stanced/stretched-tire look.
This is the 18x9.5 (45mm offset) setup with 275/40/18 tires:

Gabe, can you post your 285/40/18's on the 18x9.5" GT500 wheels you have? I want to show the pics to my dealership tech so that he'll know they'll clear up front. Thanks

suggestions for Wolf:
1) stick with wheels that are made and sold for Mustangs; there are lot of vendors who specialize in Mustangs and can sell you correct fitment . . . . I guess if there is nothing there that you like, you can go "off the reservation" but then you really need to know what you are doing with offsets and such
2) generally the widest wheels with no significant fitment issues is 10"
3) once you pick the wheels, pick tires to fit -- you can look up all the specs on Tire Rack, and check the "specs" tab for the recommended wheel width and the overall diameter of the tires you are considering. This will eliminate all the guess work. The "normal" diameter for tires on these cars is about 27.2" (overall or outer tire diameter); but you can go a bit bigger or smaller (diameter) with no major issues (assuming other things are "normal" like correct offset and car is not extremely lowered)

Sorry I guess I didn't read the thread right and I lost the bubble -- Wolf, have you actually purchased the wheels or not?
If yes . . . due to the lack of offset, the wheels will stick out, so you might need to go with a lower sidewall and shorter overall diameter to avoid rubbing

Sorry for the late reply, I talked to a few Stanced Mustang Owners on instagram, one guy has 20x9.5 up front with +15 and 20x10.5 with +25 in the rear and he clears, theoretically could I make it work, rolled the fenders a bit, I know they are already rolled but I mean the outside lip, not the inside and my car already has slight negative camber (usable camber)
