Pic request-Black Saleen

I was closely considering a saleen kit and was wondering how it would look on a black gt. You always see them in silver, but I'm wondering how they would look in black. Opinions are also welcome. If anyone has any pictures of black saleens please post them. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanx for the help.

I hope you go for it

Hi I hope you go for the build on the Saleen kit. I built a Saleen Clone and love it. It looks sick!

Yeah I saw your car (from your other post), it is sweet. Its really a tough decison. I was also looking at the CS6 kit as well. I want something thats not too gaudy (ie. roush, 3D carbon, etc.). Its gonna be a tough decision...

I wish you the best with what ever way you decide to go with your project and I can't wait to see the pictures. I am now going to start doing more underhood dress up stuff starting with fixing those butt ugly valve covers.

You know i just noticed how much i like the Saleen side skirts. Anyone know a place that sells JUST the side skirts without the rest of the kit? And how do you think they would look on a car without the rest of the saleen kit? thanks!

Most places that sell the kit will sell any of the parts inividually. As for your question about how they would look, just the skirts with the rest of the car stock might look kinda wierd because they would be lower than the rest of car and it wouldnt look right IMO. If you ment a diffrent kit with the skirts, then that would vary from kit to kit.

Now I have a quetion for you (or anyone else). Do you think the saleen would look good with a diffrent rear (ie. i was thinking the street scene w/ a ductail, but other sugguestions would be apprecited). Sorry, I cant photoshop so you have to use your imagination. The reason being is that I dont want to have to be limited to thier exhaust set up . The rest of the kit would be saleen including the hood. If not, i guess I could deal with that, then again there is always the CS6 route...decisions...

I really don't think you should mix and match body kits since the lines are designed to flow together. There is a website where you can tinker with different looks and it allows you to see what you come up with. Go to www.ponybuilder.com

Back Picture

Hi,
it is not a real Saleen but a clone. I don't want to make anyone mad at me and have them think that I am trying to pass it off as the real thing. I just like the way the Saleen looks but didn't have the money to by a real one. The rear panels line up good and it looks very authentic. Rear picture is listed below.

dont worry, i think every one here know that. I think your right, im not gonna try to mix and match kits. I do have a question. How do you like the saleen exahust. How would you compare it to other after market offerings (if you have any other previous experience)? thanx.

I like the Saleen Exhaust. I believe that it is actually made by magna flow. It gives a deep and aggressive tone that is a little louder than stock but not too loud. It is stainless steel with polished stainless steel tips. Either way if you go with the saleen kit you have to use their exhaust. But I am happy with it.
