Personalized Plate Site?

Does anyone know if there is a site per state that shows if a plate can be available, or do you still have to pick like 3 choices and hope you get one. I would think you would be able to check by now its only 2005.

In Arizona you can do a search for a specific plate, or partial match online. It's kind of fun to go in and check whats out there in use. Like you can put "pony" in the partial match and see what plates it comes up on. People are really clever.

in GA you can go to the office with a list and they will check them for you....if they feel like it. But no way by computer. Mine says 05 FORD and where the county goes, I took off the sticker and added Mustang. Probably will get stopped by the police???

In New York you go on the state DMV web site and try all the plate combo's you want. When you find one that is available it displays a mock plate format. Real user friendly and you can do it at home. New York your DMV site is great!

could be true, but you know here in GA we have many tags with no county. They say Educator or Wild like etc. I have done some research and found nothing that says I must run the county sticker. If I get pulled over, I will change it, but for now it is fun. Thanks
dynaflash, your just asking to be pulled over. That could be one hefty fine when go get caught, but good luck! my tag should be here soon it says 1HOTPNY. I'm in Ga. too
