Painting rear GT lower bumper

Two questions, anyone try to paint the lower lip of the GT bumper? It would look cool to be blacked out.

Also, anyone think black trim paint on the V6 rocker panels would look good? I'm going with the Fang chin spoiler and want it black, but also want the rocker panels to match.

Just had the lip painted a few weeks ago after an old man put a hole in my bumper and I got a new one. I had been wanting to do it for a long time since I have the V6 rocker mouldings. That lip just kept bugging me. Love the way it looks. It's just another way to make the bulky, bloated looking new Mustang look slimmer.

As for painting the V6 rocker mouldings, I'm not sure I understand your question. You want to paint the black mouldings with black trim paint?

These are the only pictures I have right know that show the lip. Ignore the blackout panel. That was just temporary paint.

How much did it cost you to get the lip painted, and where did you go?

Looks good, as staited above, just wondering how much it approx cost to have doen and any issues with it? As for paintign the rockers, I was figuring since they are more of a dark grey then black that it would look weird, maybe not though.

Sorry. Can't help you on the cost. Since I was having a new bumper painted because of the accident, I just had him go ahead and paint it.
The same guy painted my Roush front fascia for $200... on the side.

The only issue is deciding how you want the line to go across the exhaust cutout. Blacking out the whole thing looks really bad.

I saw a yellow car that went black all the way around the exhaust and that looked great. To each their own I guess.

I saw the same car probably.
Since I had a wrecked bumper that was going to be thrown away once I got the new one, I went ahead and spray painted mine to make sure I'd like it. On one side I painted the lip all the way around the cutout and I didn't like it at all. Everyone who saw it said it didn't look good. Even the painter who had originally wanted to do it that way. Makes the cutout look bigger and the exhaust tip look smaller.
