Painted headlight buckets take two

OK well I bought yet another headlight to play around with...

let me know what you think.
Pict one... Original idea
Pict two, a new idea
Pict three, the both side by side....

P.S. I did not want to waste my P1 paint, so thats just a micro fiber rag tucked inside the bucket behind the plastic louver rhingy
Tim

P.P.S. This last head light took me about 20 minutes to remove, the first one, over an hour....
I just used a heat gun on the low setting, ran the heat to the back side ( black part ) of the headlight housing till my finger left a slight inprint, NOT gooie (sp ) soft, just enough to heat the glue. Did that on each side, working from a corner to the next corner, using a small sized ( pen ) flat screwdriver, till there was enough of a gap to put in a reg sized screw driver just to break the seal, then the rest was done by hand, just pulling gently.

Both are great looking. It is hard to say which one I prefer without seeing them on the car. Let's see them on the car.

Here's a few ideas of what a finished product (installed) looks like.

PS - No I didn't do it myself, bought them this way about 2 years ago.

I have to say... the painted buckets look a bit strange to me. It could be because I am not used to seeing them painted. I thought painted buckets would look really sharp. I like the black buckets better than color coordinated buckets. Thats just my opinion. Maybe the colored buckets will grow on me.

Hello there Tim,
I think you can save more P1 paint if you just stick to using rags
Really, my .02 is worth about .0001. I think you should go where you're mojo takes you.

You need a CDC lip spoiler It'd balance out the front

I like the first one - but I wonder what the entire bucket (gill slits too) would look like painted...

I like the second one, it's different, and I think it looks sharp (to have the 2 openings painted body color).
